Balancing Your Sacral Chakra
Jun 05, 2026
Every day we have the opportunity to grow more full of love, peace, acceptance, and contentment. We have a new beginning and a fresh start, one where we are not tied to the past, but rather are the creator of our future.
It takes courage to slow down, stop, and sit alone with yourself in an empty room and face the things that could be holding you back in life.
It takes energy to release the weight of regret, past mistakes, royal screw-ups, and failures.
It takes patience for the things that we stuffed deep down inside of us to make their way to the surface, but with time, consistency, energy, patience, courage, and a willingness to look, we can eventually see where we perhaps lost our way and what was truly preventing us from living that healthy, happy, and vibrant life that we all crave.
If we don’t look, then we will continue to self-sabotage ourselves and any chance of success in the future.
If we don’t do this deep inner work on a consistent and ongoing basis, then we will get that thing we so badly wanted, we will finally meet that person, get that money, or achieve that lofty goal, and then find ourselves right back where we first started as the thing we so badly wanted was ripped from our hands.
What I can tell you is that any fall from grace or any failure, setback, or challenge was divinely placed there to teach you a valuable life lesson. All is needed and all is perfect, and you simply need to trust the process.
Later, we can look back and realize that what we were truly seeking wasn’t really fortune, fame, or accolades, but rather love and connection. We can look back and see that we perhaps took ourselves or our roles a little too seriously and that we were not operating out of a place of pure love and confidence. We can look back and see that we were feeling not good enough or unworthy to some degree. We can look back and see we were going way too fast and never took the time to consult our highest self. We can look back and see that we prioritized making money over making authentic connections with people. We can look back and see that we were not feeding our bodies properly or that we were completely consumed with how we looked or the vain offerings of the world. We can look back and see that we allowed other people’s actions, opinions, and behaviours to dim our own light and then chose to isolate and hide our true self.
It’s in those moments of defeat and despair where we can’t blame others for where we are in life, but we must look within ourselves to the unconscious patterns, thoughts, behaviours, beliefs, and habits that prevent us from experiencing lasting happiness, health, energy, relationships that equally serve us, abundance, and total worthiness of an incredible and fulfilling life.
A lot of teachings will tell you to forget the past—to just push forward, forget about it, and keep on putting one foot in front of the other. I would encourage you to sit with yourself and really take a deeper look at what could be going on, and then, once you’ve seen everything, you can let it go and never talk about it again. Or better yet, look back on your past with gratitude in your heart, knowing that your past was perfect and it made you into the wonderful masterpiece that you are today.
I’d encourage you to put yourself in other people’s situations and see how your behaviour or energy levels could have affected them or could be affecting them.
I’d encourage you to take an honest look at what you see reflecting back to you. I’d encourage you to allow yourself to be with whatever comes up for you, and I’d encourage you to face it, cry tears if need be, and ultimately find the strength within you to stand up for yourself, take your power back, and own your greatness.
I’d encourage you to allow yourself to grieve and have yourself a little pity party, and then choose to get up and remain hopeful and optimistic that the best is on the way!
That being said, we must always be willing to tune into our mind, body, and spirit and take a deeper look at our own energy levels and what is going on inside!
THE SACRAL CHAKRA IS THE SECOND ENERGY CENTRE IN THE BODY
The sacral chakra is the centre of your creativity and life force. This needs to be clear of all negativity and blockages if you want to feel look and feel your absolute best. You hold the power to clear this blockage and remove the trauma that is deep rooted and embedded deep within you.
Sometimes we need to sit with ourselves and remind ourselves how amazing and worthy we truly are. Sometimes we need to sit with ourselves and come to the knowing that we are the best in our own life and that we’ve always been worthy of love.
If you have a hard time receiving this could be sign that the sacral chakra is blocked and that you need some nurturing and an emotional release.
Trauma, especially emotional, relational or sexual trauma can deeply block this chakra and the manifestations can be painful. Emotional instability, numbness and lack of creativity, difficulties with intimacy, guilt, shame, secrecy and low self-worth. Sometimes this trauma can be stored in the low back, and psoas/sacral region and when you begin to release this energy stored in your body shakes, or convulsions sometimes happen.
Sometimes healing can bring temporary discomfort as we release these old energy blockages but one way to get over this is to go right through it. You’re likely in pain anyways, so honour this part of your healing journey and continue to release, cry tears, and meet yourself where you are at. Clearing this blockage through yoga, dance, workouts that trigger the glutes are all ways to get the energy flowing again.
